Youth and Work in The Grid

I'm quoted extensively in this week's cover story in The Grid, one of Toronto's weekly alternative papers, about the myth of the entitled generation Y employee. The article is called "Dude, where's my pension plan" and it contains insights about the current state of Ontario's labour market from myself and Tom Zizys, a labour market analyst and current Metcalf Foundation fellow. The story also presents a snapshot of three 20 and 30 something workers who have experienced precarious work early in their careers. The story was written by Jodie Shupac who put a lot of work into understanding how the changes to the labour market are impacting young workers - something that rarely happens with journalists today.
