On the heels of labour unrest at a number of Ontario campuses and a stinging decision from Arbitrator Maritn Teplitsky earlier this week Laurentian University continues to take a hard-line in negotiations with the unions on-campus. One bargaining unit on strike and security officers recently voting in favour of one there is tension in the air. The university has adhered to the wage freeze request from Queen's Park with OPSEU claiming bargaining has stalled completely. I've attached an article below discussing the situation, see:
