I've worked on a number of employment law cases that have had a significant social media component to them so it was very interesting to read this New York Times article on social media background checks. The intersection of technology and workplace law is a minefield that isn't well understood yet and is a rapidly emerging area of law. I hope in the fall to be able to do some in-depth research into this area and present some policy options on how to adapt workplace law to address the reality of digital world that we're now living in.
